The cooling-off period in Italy is regulated by Legislative Decree no. 21 dated 21 February 2014, implementing directive 2011/83/EU on consumers rights, amending directives 93/13/EEC and 1999/44/EC abrogating directives 85/577/EEC and 97/7/EC (14G00033) (OG General Series no. 58 dated 11-3-2014), which came into force on 26 March 2014 (www.gazzettaufficiale.it/eli/id/ 2014/3/11/14G00033/sg).
Consumers who for any reason are dissatisfied with the purchase made, have the right to withdraw from the stipulated contract without any penalty and without being required to explain why, within the term of fourteen (14) working days from the date of receipt of the purchased goods, (certified by the signature and the date affixed by the customer on the receipt form).
The procedure is the following:
1 - The customer informs Extrasound of his/ her intention to withdraw from the purchase contract.
3 - The customer returns the goods to Extrasound, paying transport costs.
4 - Extrasound reimburses the customer (including the transport costs). Reimbursement takes place within 14 days from receipt of the returned goods.
Following customer withdrawal, the amounts paid by the customer will be refunded via bank transfer or PayPal crediting.
Customers can return used products that are partially deteriorated or if part of the original packaging is missing but, obviously, in this case, the refund will be calculated taking into consideration the diminished value of the goods, replacement of the missing parts and any necessary technical assistance work.
